The project opens part of the Sendai City Hall construction site to children, transforming an active construction site into a place for exploration, discovery, and learning. Kuo san from National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University has arrived. His main research focuses on Multifunctional Composite Precast Structures with Integrated Energy Storage. He enjoyed both experiments and hotsprings at Saknami.

In July, Chihiro KOBAYASHI(D1) won the Research Paper Award at JCI Annual Convention 2026 for "Evaluation of Mechanical and Durability Properties of Low-Carbon Mortar Incorporating Multiple Industrial By-products and a Small Amount of Cement".

In June Haruto, Yuki and Kotaro won the 1st prize for student's competition at the 7th fib Congress held in Lisbon. Competing against 18 university teams from around the world, they brilliantly secured first place and the prize money. Fantastic! https://fiblisbon2026.pt/programme/

"Kids on Site Project" has been featured on Tohoku University's global website as part of its science outreach activities. The project transforms an active construction site into a place where children can observe, explore, and learn about how cities and buildings are created. Rather than simply explaining construction, we encourage children to see, touch, ask questions, and discover things for themselves. Since opening this spring at the Sendai City Hall construction site, t
